Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern the relationship between you and the operators of Resa (resa-travel.app) and apply whenever you access or use the Resa website, app or related services ("the service"). By creating an account, joining a trip or otherwise using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Resa is operated jointly by two private individuals. Questions and legal notices can be sent to:

You need an account to create or join a trip. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping access to your email inbox secure, because anyone with access to it can request a sign-in link for your account.

You may set a password in addition to the magic-link sign-in. If you do, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. Let us know immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

"User content" means everything you add to the service: trip names, destinations, dates, accommodation, travel and activity cards, links, prices, comments, votes, photos and any other information.

You retain ownership of your user content. By adding it to a trip you grant us the limited rights necessary to store, display and share it with the other members of that trip.

You may not use the service to upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, deceptive or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to circumvent access controls, overload the service, or access data that does not belong to you.

Trips are private by default. Anyone who holds the invite link or the eight-character trip code can see the trip name, destination and dates and can request to join. Treat invite links and codes as confidential.

Trip administrators can remove members, change trip settings and close the trip so that no further members can join. Administrators should only transfer ownership or promote co-admins to people they trust.

You can leave a trip at any time. If you are the last member and leave, the trip may become inaccessible to everyone.

Resa is a planning and coordination tool, not a travel agency or booking platform. We do not book flights, accommodation or activities on your behalf and we do not handle payments between group members. All bookings are made directly with third-party providers and are subject to their own terms and conditions.

The service is currently free to use. We may add optional paid features in the future, but we will clearly communicate any charges before they apply.

The Resa name, logo, visual design, code and the structure of the service are owned by the operators. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer them without permission.

Photos and other content you upload remain yours. You may not upload material you do not have the right to share.

Resa can generate suggestions for accommodation and activities with the help of AI ("Resa picks"). They are clearly marked, non-binding proposals. Names, prices, times, opening hours, availability and descriptions are estimates and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Please check all details with the provider before you book or rely on them. We are not responsible for the offers of third parties.

Place data and photos come from Google Maps / Google Places; city photos come from Unsplash. These remain the property of their respective owners and are shown with the required attribution. You may not copy, extract or reuse them outside the service. Their use is additionally subject to the Google Maps Terms of Service.

We run the service with care and try to keep it available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages or changes may occur at any time.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of service and does not cover indirect losses, lost profits or losses from bookings, travel arrangements or third-party services.

German law applies with the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.

You can delete your account by contacting us at info@resa-travel.app. We will erase your personal data without undue delay unless a statutory retention obligation applies. Trips you own may need to be transferred or deleted first.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly violate these terms.

We may update these Terms of Use when the service or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available at resa-travel.app/terms with the version shown above.

If you continue to use the service after an update, you accept the new version. For material changes, we will ask you to explicitly accept the updated terms when you next sign in.
